MEET OUR SPEAKER: Terri Costa has been working in health information management (HIM) and quality for over 20 years. Currently, Terri serves as Chief Administrative and Privacy Officer for James W. Golden, MD. Terri is also Director of Health Information Management for an acute care hospital in the Palm Springs, California, area where she directs all aspects of HIM Operations, Coding, and Clinical Documentation Improvement. Terri has an Associate’s Degree in HIM from the University of Alaska Southeast, Bachelor’s Degree in HIM from University of Cincinnati, and Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Regis University. Terri’s credentials include Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) through the Association of Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from National Association of Healthcare Quality. Terri holds several credentials from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) including Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS), Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), and AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer.
