PLEASE NOTE: No CEC will be offered for this Study Series.*

This Study Series is a supplement to the AHDI CHDS Study Course and CHDS Bridge Course (for CMTs)

Are you ready for a fresh start in 2017? Have you decided to take a big step in your career and obtain your CHDS credential or bridge your CMT credential to CHDS? Many employers prefer to hire Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialists. Possessing the CHDS credential demonstrates a commitment to excellence and your level of proficiency. AHDI-West is offering a 3-part Study Series to help you prepare for the CHDS exam or the CHDS Bridge Exam. After each webinar, you will be sent a link where you will be able to access the webinar for future reference to assist in your study for these exams. There will be study sheets to assist you in your preparation for the examination.

CHDS Study Session 1: This will be an overview of the systems of the body with terms, diagnoses, and functions within the body; diseases/disorders – diagnosis and treatment.

CHDS Study Session 2: Various diagrams of the body and labeling parts and function, such as air flow, blood flow, and GI tract. Download your study sheet for this one and fill them in as we go.

CHDS Study Session 3: Review of classes of drugs, labs and lab references to know and some speech recognition questions as well as some extra terms.

MEET THE PRESENTER: Julia Dyviniak, CHDS, is an excellent teacher and will be our presenter for our CHDS
Study Series. She is a professional medical transcriptionist with more than 20 years’ experience in multiple specialties and acute care and works with several private practice physicians and Shumaker Transcription Service. Julia has a teaching style that many people can relate to.

*The CHDS Bridge Course offered through AHDI offers 10 CECs (a great value). It is recommended you sign up for AHDI’s courses to prepare for these exams. You can also take advantage of the practice exams offered by ADHI for which signups are free during the month of January 2017 (practice examination must be completed by April 30, 2017).
