Congratulations – New AHDI Fellow

Sandy Shumaker, CMT, AHDI-F has been involved with AHDI for 30 years, becoming a CMT in 1980. She began Shumaker Transcription Service in Glendora, CA in 1981, celebrating her 28th year in business. Over those many years she served on the Board of Directors for the East San Gabriel Valley Chapter for AAMT and was a founding member of that chapter. She is presently serving as Secretary for the Orange County Chapter of AHDI. On a regional level, she is co-leader of the Advocacy Focus Group for AHDI-West and finds this position an exciting challenge. Sandy is also active on the national level serving on the AHDI EHR Committee, Vendor Affiliates Council, and Ethics Committee. She has been a huge support of the AHDI-West Power of 10 Technology webinars by sponsoring her MTs who wish to attend.

Sandy enjoys spending time with her family which consists of 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters, going to Dodger games, traveling with friends, and reading.
