AHDI Board of Director Term moves to an ACE-to-ACE cycle

17 December 2009 No Comment

The AHDI Board of Directors would like to change the term of office from the calendar year (January to December) to it beginning and ending at ACE each year. This would mean the current board of directors will remain in office until ACE 2010 in Austin, Texas, except for Betty Honkonen, whose will be “retiring” from the Board as of December 31, 2009.

This new cycle will provide the opportunity for those attending ACE to witness the “changing of the guard” with installation of new officers and recognition of those who have served the association. Since we have a few newly-elected directors, it has been decided they will take office as of January 2010, to take the place of vacant positions. This does not affect the Speaker of the House. The House of Delegates will be voting on December 21 to accept or reject this bylaw change. AHDI-West has 3 delegates who represent you and will be voting based on your input. We have posted the complete document, outlining this bylaw change, for your review: [download id="8"].

If you have any questions, concerns or opinions regarding this change, please contact us at no later than December 17, 2009.
