Thank you for posting this summary, it refreshes my memory of the great time it was and makes me look forward to our next Summit! I hope many more members can find time and means to be involved in the Legislative Leader program, at least at their state level, and would like to see many more attend our next Summit in 2012!

Hi everyone, Brenda Dorsett, CMT, here. When I opened my e-mail only a couple days before the voting closed on AHDI-West Member of the Year, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I scrolled down my e-mail, and there I was looking back at me. I scrolled down further to see that Kat and Sandy, two very deserving ladies were also nominated. I cast my vote. An overwhelming feeling of being proud came over me. I proceeded to tell my husband, my sisters, my mom, and then those closest to me in our industry about my nomination, some HIMS coworkers, those not so close to our industry like the neighbor down the street, the neighbor up the street, some friends on Facebook, anyone that would listen to me. I think you get the picture. Proud me.

I'd like to thank my first year of ACE mentor Karen Fox-Acosta for the nomination. Congratulations Kat King for becoming our 2011 AHDI-West Member of the Year and so deserving for all the work she does to promote, advocate, and give endless hours for betterment of not only AHDI-West but for our industry as a whole. Let it be known that I love the work I do as a practitioner of our trade and in turn giving back to others by facilitating RMT and CMT study groups. I am so very proud!

Thank you Sandy for facilitating the wonderful AHDI-West Symposium this past weekend at the City of Hope. The speakers were fantastic and their presentations superb.

With that said, I hope to see many of you at our next big event, ACE 2011 in Scottsdale. It will be here before we know it. Hey, did I happen to mention just how proud I am? Okay, only once or twice I'm sure.

Hi all: Have the CECs been rectified yet? Are they PD, Medicolegal, or Technology in the Workplace? We have CMTs/MTs who probably signed up for this thinking they would get Medicolegal credits. Please let us know.

Thank you,

Sandra F. Sheerer, CMT

Thank you for catching this error, Barbara. There was some confusion when we first received approval and I looked at the wrong information. I am checking to see if it can qualify for either CEC. I will have an answer by this afternoon.

I have a question regarding the CECs. One web page says that it is 2 ML credits, and another page says 2 PD credits. Which is it? Thanks for providing this webinar!

Thanks, AHDI-West, for sponsoring webinars. For those of us who live "out in the sticks," this is a wonderful way to keep in touch and stay current at an affordable price. Traveling for education is quickly becoming obsolete, I'm afraid.

I won't be able to listen "live," so I'm really grateful there is an option for "recorded" listening.

Again, thanks, ADHI-West.
